Remembrance of Earth's Past

Use type and a minimal colour palette to create book jackets that capture the vast, dark universe of the science fiction novels The Three-Body Problem and Death’s End by Cixin Liu.

The Three-Body Problem is about scale and realizing that the night sky is not as empty as it was once believed to be, and Death’s End is about the implications of light-speed travel.

Photographs of laser prints are enlarged, sliced and folded to suggest stars and lines of computer code in The Three-Body Problem and as a metaphor for interdimensional travel in Death’s End.
